Payroll export
Payroll export
Payroll export gathers everything the payroll consultant needs for one calendar month in one place: new hires, leavers, salary changes, allowance changes, address/bank account changes, absences, and worked hours. Pick a month in the month picker and press “Show report” to preview it, section by section.
If a period has already been exported and locked, a banner at the top of the preview shows who exported it and when. This doesn’t block viewing the report again — it’s informational only.
If any absence type is missing its pay-code mapping (the link between Novro’s absence types and the payroll system’s standard codes, managed under Settings), a clear warning appears above the preview naming the unmapped type(s). The warning never blocks the export — it’s a reminder to complete the mapping before forwarding the file to the payroll system.
Once the report looks right, an administrator presses “Export & lock period”. A confirmation dialog appears first, explaining what happens: the period is marked as exported. Ordinary changes to time, absence, or salary data for that period afterward require admin access and are logged in the audit trail — but are never fully blocked, since payroll consultants sometimes need to correct data after the fact.
Downloads are Excel or CSV, same as before. A PAXml format (the Swedish payroll-file industry standard) appears in the format picker but is not yet available.
Every time the report is shown, a PAXml file is generated or a period is exported and locked, a line is written to the organisation’s audit log: who, which period and how many rows — never any amounts or other employees’ details. If the organisation restricts who may see salaries (Salary visibility), a role without salary access cannot open the payroll export, even if it has Payroll access.
