The table, search and filters

The table, search and filters

The Organization page lists everyone in a sortable table — click a column header to sort ascending/descending. The search box filters instantly across every field. Salaries are hidden by default behind a show/hide toggle. Click a row to open that employee’s detail page — a dedicated page (not a popup) with three tabs: Information (general details), Salary (base salary, additional pay and other salary components) and Documents. A back arrow at the top returns you to the list.

Columns: click “Columns” (Kolumner) to choose exactly which columns appear in the list — every system column plus each custom field you created under Settings → Categories (shown as “CF: ”). You can pick up to 25 columns at once. Your choice is saved in your browser. The first column is always frozen to the left so it stays visible while you scroll a wide table sideways — it can’t be moved, and no other column can be moved in front of it.

That same “Columns” list also lets you reorder the selected columns: drag a row to a new spot using its handle, or use the up/down arrows (these also work with a keyboard or touch). The order is saved the same way the selection is. On a wide screen you can additionally resize a column by dragging the thin handle between two column headers (the cursor turns into a resize cursor on hover). Width dragging is aimed at mouse/trackpad use — on phone/tablet widths (≤768px, where the table already scrolls sideways) the handle is hidden since it would otherwise fight that scroll gesture; reordering, on the other hand, works the same at every screen size.

Filter: click “Filter” to build a rule set, e.g. “Department contains Berlin”. Add multiple rules — the list shows everyone matching ALL of them (AND). The available conditions depend on the attribute’s data type (text, list, date, number). You can filter on any attribute currently shown as a column (both system and custom fields). Click the × on a rule to remove it, or “Clear filters” to reset.

Job category: once job categories are switched on and the organisation has created at least one category (Pay mapping → Job evaluation → Job categories), a “Job category” column appears in the list by itself — no page reload needed. It shows the full path, e.g. “Engineer › Level 2”, and can be sorted and filtered like any other column. If you’ve never changed your columns it shows right away; if you already customised your column choice it’s added once for administrators (remove it and it stays removed), and everyone else finds it under “Columns”. On the employee’s detail page the Job category field sits on the Information tab. You can change it if you have write access to employees and read access to job categories — pick from the tree (sub-categories are indented under their parent) or “No category” to clear it, then save as usual. Anyone else who may see the employee sees the category as read-only text. A category that no longer exists shows as “Deleted category”. Employees see their own job category (read-only) under My profile.

On the Information tab, employment rate (SYSSELSÄTTNINGSGRAD) is set via two fields — “Standard hours/week” (the normal full-time norm, e.g. 40) and “Hours/week to work” (this employee’s actual hours) — instead of typing a decimal fraction directly. The resulting employment rate (e.g. 32/40 = 80%) is shown live as you type and is saved behind the scenes as the same fraction as before.

STATUS (Active/Onboarding/Inactive) is computed automatically from reality and can’t be picked freely: an employee becomes “Inactive” either because their termination date has passed, or because their account has been deactivated (e.g. by the daily background sweep, or an admin action). The note under the field tells you which of the two reasons applies. If it’s a past termination date, fix it directly in the “Last day of employment” field. If it’s a deactivation, a “Reactivate” button appears instead, restoring the account to Active.
